I cannot say enough good things about Photo-Canvas. I've been ordering printed canvases from them for over five years now - for both professional projects and gifts for family and friends. In every instance service and quality has been impeccable. The stretcher frames for the canvases are really well-made, solid and durable. The dye-sublimation printing process results in a wonderful quality of image, colour and detail, whilst also achieving a lovely and subtle texture. The process for uploading images and designing the canvas is very easy (it can be done directly via an upload using the online facility on the website). Recently the website has been updated so you can view a 3D simulation of your canvas before you send it to print. The range of bespoke sizes offered makes Photo-canvas an ideal resource for professional artists, as well as those looking for unusual gifts. I'm always impressed by the swift turn-around on orders, and by how beautifully and securely packaged the canvases are when they arrive.     Using sublimation printing we create professional quality prints, with rich and vibrant colours and sharply detailed images. After being printed directly onto a textured canvas, your custom size photo prints are then hand-stretched over wooden frames to create that perfect tension.

    Our pinewood frames are handmade on site in the UK, using only sustainably sourced FSC certified wood. Laminated for extra protection, they won’t crack or warp over time. We’re so confident in the high quality of our custom canvas prints, that we offer a lifetime guarantee with every purchase.

      Specify your custom canvas sizes down to the millimetre with our custom canvas prints. Create a bespoke design piece for your home which can be made to fit any wall, alcove or recess, and will be truly unique to you. Available in any size up to 153 cm x 153 cm, it’s the perfect option for designing unique home décor. Customise the depth by choosing between a 2.5 cm standard frame option, or a 4.5 cm thickness to give your canvas print more depth. For larger canvases select the 4.5 cm option for extra strength.

    • High Quality Woven Canvas

      We use a 300 gsm woven canvas fabric to create your custom canvas prints. The 100% poly fabric has a natural grain finish, giving your design a gallery style textured surface without any inconsistencies in the material. Unlike pure cotton, the poly fabric remains strong and durable over time, without weakening.

    • Hand Built Frames

      Hand-built frames not only allow custom canvas sizes but create a professional quality finish to your custom canvas prints. Using sustainably sourced pinewood, our makers craft your frame to order. Our FSC approved wood is laminated and warp-proof, preventing any future cracks or splitting. These reproductions are both sturdy and stylish and are hand-stretched to achieve a perfectly tensioned canvas. Rather than using 4 stretcher wedges, we opt for 8 – so your print can be adjusted should it ever need it.

      With our superior sublimation printing method, your custom canvas prints will be left entirely scratch proof and durable with no cracking or peeling over the years. This printing method uses heat and pressure to lock the inks directly into the fibres of the canvas fabric, creating a rich and vibrant image with a consistent tone. A sleek matte finish completes your custom canvas print, with no added shiny plastic coating laying on top.

      The wrap is the print that appears on the edges of your canvas. We use a mirror wrap, which is where your photo will be reflected on the edges.

      Whether you’ve purchased small custom canvas sizes for slim alcoves, irregular recesses, or larger custom prints for a sprawling blank wall, hang your new designs with ease. Every order comes with a free wall-hanging kit; simply affix the picture hook to the back of your frame, and hang on a screw in the wall. The kit includes screws and wall plugs for extra simplicity.

    • Bleed Area

      When you make your own canvas Prints There is a bleed area surrounding the main part of your photograph, which allows leeway for printing. The bleed area may be cut off so don’t include any important elements in this area. However, it is likely that whatever is placed in the bleed may be included in the final design, so make sure to fill this in.

    • Sizing Options

      The smallest sized canvas we can create is 10cm x 10cm. 

      If you select a 2.5cm frame depth, please ensure your dimensions are no larger than 150cm x 150cm - this will prevent your canvas from being too fragile. 

    • Design Ideas

      Custom canvas sizes mean that you can create a canvas to suit any space in your home. If you’re creating some décor for a slim alcove area, why not try a piece of abstract art with pops of colour?
