Digital Photo Magazine Canvas Print Comparison
Photo-Canvas £39
The canvas is reasonably thick, but the folds at the corners are quite clean
The canvas produced a natural look, with a nice matt finish
Photo-Canvas is the odd one out in some ways, as it uses a process called deep-fibre printing. Water-Based inks are used, and Photo-Canvas claims the canvas will stand up to a standard cycle on a washing machine, so, if you fancy hang your canvas out in the elements, then this is worth a look. The frames them selves have a depth of 1in or 1.75in and ordering is done via the website, Though you initially pick your size, quantity and whether you want a wrap around the image, you have to enter your payment details before you upload your image.
The canvases were returned to us the day after ordering, and Photo-Canvas offers free blemish removal, so moles and spots were cleaned up on our portrait shot. This is the default option, but you can stipulate to leave images untouched if you prefer. The canvas has a nice natural feel, with a matt finish, and is supplied with all the bits and pieces needed to hang it on the wall.

The Winner:
Photo-Canvas
Taking the top slot is Photo-Canvas, with its unique Deep Fibre printing method. Because of the nature of the texture, the canvas looks a little soft under close inspection, but looks great from a normal viewing distance. Also, the matt, natural-looking finish means it can be viewed from any angle and unlike the shinier canvases, doesn't suffer any glare from light sources wherever you place it. The frame is solid and the waterproof nature of the canvas means it'll withstand life outdoors if you want to brighten up your patio. The one-day turnaround was impressive, and this was matched by its cost. At only £42.95 with P&P, it offers great value.
